Our Mission and Core Values

Twice the Heart Foundation takes a holistic approach to bridging the gap between mental health and heart disease. We believe in integrating mental health awareness and practices into the daily lives of individuals dealing with heart disease.

Our approach is designed to provide support, education, and resources to help individuals cope with the challenges of heart disease while prioritizing their mental well-being. We're here to honor the journey, break the silence, and make sure no one walks this path alone.

Core Values

  1. Holistic Wellness: The foundation emphasizes the seamless integration of mental and heart health, promoting a comprehensive approach to well-being.

  2. Empowerment: By providing resources and support, the foundation seeks to empower individuals to take charge of their health journeys.

  3. Accessibility: Recognizing the financial challenges associated with treatments and therapies, the foundation offers free expense stipends to alleviate these burdens, making wellness more accessible.

  4. Community and Support: Through events, retreats, and shared stories, the foundation fosters a sense of community, ensuring that individuals do not face their health challenges alone.

  5. Resilience and Hope: The foundation's narrative underscores the importance of resilience and finding strength through adversity, aiming to inspire hope in those facing health challenges.

These principles are deeply rooted in the personal journey of the foundation's founder, Jillian Thorne, a 20-year heart disease survivor. Her experiences have shaped the foundation's commitment to supporting others navigating similar challenges.

Empowering Individuals with Awareness

At Twice the Heart Foundation, we are dedicated to empowering individuals with the awareness and tools necessary to navigate the complexities of living with heart disease. Our mission is to integrate mindfulness and mental health practices into the daily routines of those affected by heart disease, ultimately promoting a better quality of life. We strive to create a supportive community where individuals can access the resources they need to prioritize their mental and emotional well-being.

"Mental health and heart disease are interconnected aspects of overall well-being. By empowering individuals with awareness and support, we can make a profound impact on their quality of life."
